Looks like it was a beautiful day. It is good to see Arnie out and about. I am so glad it was a good time for all.
I saw so many beautiful things at the ball field.
I saw you, Arnie. I had to hold back the tears more than a couple of times. The relief in my heart to be able to see you free from the pain that you've endured for so many years hurt me in the most joyous sort of way. You've always been my friend, but now you are my hero too. I am so proud of you.
I saw friends. There was laughter and smiles, stories to share, and good wishes from all. They brought their children, their spouses, their friends. The stadium was full of them. A true testiment to who you are to all of us.
I saw the game ball. We all signed it, everyone that came to show their support. Josh came up with the idea. It seemed like a really cool thing to do. But, as the last to sign it, again, I had to choke back the tears. There was no spot for me! This once white baseball had so many signatures on it that it had become blue! I squished a KO AO CO, for Kevin, Chase, and me, held it in my hand a moment, admiring all the names, then passed it off to Michele. Isn't it amazing how something, so seemingly insignificant, can become such a powerful expression of love?
Arnie, be well, be loved, and continue to be beautiful.
